As someone who eats FAR too much ice cream each week, I have become something of an ice cream scoop aficionado. Over the years, I’ve owned plastic scoops, metal scoops, metal scoops with plastic handles, plastic scoops with sweeper arms (they don’t usually work) and every other combination you can think of. What I have found is that when it comes to scooping ice cream, the simplicity of the design works best — every time.
This scoop ranks with the best I have ever owned. The key to why it works so well is the all-metal, one-piece design. If a scoop is made of plastic, it will eventually break at the pressure point just below the head of the scoop. If it has a metal scoop-head but a plastic or rubber handle, it will usually break right where the metal attaches to the plastic. This is only the second scoop I have owned where the entire scoop is made of one piece of metal (the other I sadly lost while moving).
Because it is made of stainless steel, it hasn’t (and likely won’t) bend or break after repeated use. I also appreciate how it fits my hand perfectly and has a bit of weight towards the head of the scoop. I have noticed that this extra heft makes scooping out each ball of ice cream easier than with less weighty scoops. Altogether, I have zero complaints about this scoop. The simplicity of the design and quality of its construction make it very easy to recommend this scoop to ice cream lovers everywhere.

I am impressed with the quality and beautiful design of this stainless steel one-piece ice cream scoop. In the past, I had ended up trashing our previous ice cream scoops after they either rusted or they broke in two pieces. So when I saw this all one-piece of 304 food-grade stainless steel with its beautiful shape, I knew I had to try it. The scoop size is ideal to serve two to three scoops per portion, and it creates perfectly round balls of ice cream every time. The key is in warming the scoop in warm water prior to scooping the ice cream. It has a comfortable handle with decent weight to it. The scoop itself feels well-made, and it works great every time. It is dishwasher safe and easy to clean by just rinsing under warm water as well.

This is very nice quality. It has comfortable grip and good fit in your hand. It feels solid and appropriately heavy. It’s easy to use- just warm it with hot water and it glides through the ice cream and makes a perfect ball. It works bery well every time. I wa shocked how much these old fashioned style scoops cost but this one was reasonable and a good value.

The handle is shaped nicely and fit in my & my 11 year old son’s hands comfortably, making it easy for the both us us to be able to use. It is easy to scoop with and is very durable. It will hold up in the dishwasher which makes things much easier!

The handle is hollow, but it’s sealed, so water cannot seep in. Everything is welded tight, and there’s a brushed finished on all surfaces. The scoop and handle is very sturdy. The handle length is just right, and the scalloped ridges make this easy to grip, and comfortable. The logo is laser etched on the handle. The best part is that it’s dishwasher safe.
